Carter has been standing on his own (for a few seconds at a time) and walking around while holding onto things. This past weekend, he started walking between things for a few steps. Daddy and I would sit about 4 feet apart and Carter would take a step from one of us to the other, then take another few steps on his own before lunging into the arms of the opposite person. He even stood up on his own, and took a few steps.
The best part is that he knows that this is something special. When he stands on his own for a while, or try to take a step, his face just lights up as if he's accomplished the unthinkable! This, of course, makes it even more enjoyable for the rest of us.
